Envirocheck - More Information
Sites are organised into slices, segments and quadrants. An index map is included within the Envirocheck Report to illustrate how maps fit together.
Site Sensitivity Maps
Two site-centred A3 Site Sensitivity Maps, plotting all the information contained in the Data Sheets onto current mapping, are provided at 1:10,000 scale and 1:2,500 scales. Other current land use maps include a Flood map and a Boreholes map on 1:10,000 mapping.
Context Maps
Three context maps on 1:50,000 mapping are provided, showing the site in the wider environmental context. Maps included are Sensitive Land Uses, Groundwater Vulnerability and Source Protection Zones.
Data Sheets
Data Sheets provide the full detail behind each map reference point and include a National Grid Reference, site area, search buffer, compass direction for quadrant references and an estimated distance from the subject site. Data is summarised in relevant groups: Agency and Hydrological, Waste, Hazardous Substances, Geological, Industrial Land Use and Sensitive Land Uses.
Order only the data you need by defining the size of the report buffer. Options include 50m, 100m, 250m, 500m or 1km buffers.
Note: The BGS Borehole data set is reported separately in a CSV file and displayed on its own map, with the option to order a separate datasheet just detailing Boreholes.
Historical Maps
Landmark's digital archive is the UK's largest comprising over 1 million Ordnance Survey historical maps dating back to the mid 19th century.
