Utilities Report
The Utilities Report provides valuable information which consultants and engineers should obtain before any excavations, designs or developments commence as it will help reduce the risk of:
- Expensive litigation if damage is caused
- Delayed project design
- Increased foundation costs
- Added danger for the workforce involved.
The report outlines features below the surface such as gas and oil pipelines, electricity cables, telecommunication wires, mains water supplies, sewers and fibre-optic cables. The benefits of the Utilities Report include:
- Comprehensive - all utilities are covered (approx. 30 are contacted per report)
- Accurate - information gathered directly from the utility operators
- Reliable - detailed knowledge of the utilities relevant to the search area
- Cost-effective - saves many man hours so time can be used more effectively
The Utilities Report is available to order online and will be despatched where possible within 15 working days. From 14th April 2008, the cost of this service will rise to £349 including disbursements (plus VAT) for sites up to 15 hectares with less than a 2km perimeter - quotes for larger sites and expedited services are available from Customer Service on 0844 844 9952.
"We require utilities information for planning applications that we do on behalf of our clients. Previously we used to write to each utility company individually and collate the information ourselves. It would often take a month to get the information. Now with the Envirocheck Utilities report we simply place our order online and within 15 working days we receive all the utility information collated from a single source, saving us valuable time."
