Landmark has over 495,000 features digitised from local plans which are land use policy designations produced by district councils, unitary councils and National Park authorities. For ease of interpretation, Landmark has standardised the land use policy designations into 11 categories; economy, housing, retail & town centres, transport/infrastructure, open environment, heritage environment, resources & waste, community & social facilities, rural settlement, boundaries and other area/site.
